Costa del Sol
The Costa del Sol, one of the most mature residential markets in the overseas sector, is an old favourite that still offers value for money. It has a very special ambience: shops, international schools, restaurants, entertainment and sports facilities run all year round.
The Costa del Sol stretches almost from Gibraltar in the south towards Matril in the north. With over 90% of the land still green, it's hard to describe the Costa del Sol as anything other than an area of natural beauty. A ribbon of luxury development runs from east to west along the coast. Against a backdrop of mountains and forested slopes, the developments or ‘urbanizaciones' are punctuated by sandy beaches, world-famous marinas, shopping centres and championship golf-courses. The area is connected by a modern motorway network with the international airport at Malaga, its capital city, which retains much of its Moorish and Spanish feel.
The most popular and expensive location is undoubtedly Marbella with its famous marina of Puerto Banus and ‘Golf Valley' close by. Further up the coast are Mijas, Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola, all well established resorts with a large foreign community. Past Malaga, the coast becomes more tranquil, and the scenery inland can be quite spectacular.
South of Estepona there has been far less construction. This stretch of coast has become known as the Costa del Golf: there are many dedicated golf resorts, and Sotogrande's Valderrama Golf Club is a world championship course.
The Costa del Sol is an ideal choice for the international property buyer. It continues to expand; the population is expected to increase by a further 50% over the next decade, so rental opportunities are good, and properties are expected to show soild capital growth.

Step 1: The ConceptOur design team translates your idea into an architectural concept and produces provisional plans and coloured renderings.
Step 2: The BudgetA pre-study is carried out to ensure that the concept fits your budget. This includes all technical fees, licences and insurances, building costs and landscaping.
Step 3: Drafting and Plot InfrastructureWithin 2 months, all construction drawings are presented to the College of Architects. A month later, the drawings are released and certified to be presented to the Town Hall planning office for licence approval.
Step 4: The BuildingAfter competitive tendering, the project is handed over to the technical team. Weekly site meetings, visits and reports are made as construction progresses, and a web-based planning calendar and budget control service keep everyone informed.
